I grew up in Bountiful, Utah where this brownie recipe was shared with everyone…and I mean everyone! It was passed around on typed or hand written on a recipe card. It may have even been printed in the local newspaper. Who knows? Ladies always pulled out the recipe when they had to bring a treat to a neighborhood, church or family gathering. Anyway, it’s always good to share a hometown favorite and this one is much better than a box mix!
Ingredients:
4 Eggs
1 c. Softened Butter
2 c. Sugar
1/2 c. Baking Cocoa
2 tsp. Vanilla
1 1/3 c. Flour
1/2 tsp. Salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine eggs, butter, sugar, cocoa and vanilla. Gradually add in flour and salt; mix well. Grease 9 x 13 inch dish. Pour nix into pan. Bake for 25 – 30 minutes.
Allow brownies to cook before cutting them up into squares and serving them.
I can’t tell you if these store well because they’ve always been gobbled up too fast to ever find out!

These look delicious. Can’t wait to try the recipe.
